-The Primary Art Network–
Hello!
Welcome to the Primary Art Network.
I started my teaching career in 2014 and I have been leading art in a variety of primary school settings since then. For as long as I can remember art has been a subject that I am very passionate about.
Throughout my time in teaching I have been fortunate to work with many brilliant children and I have seen first hand the positive impact that high quality arts education can have.
For a number of years I have been part of a steering group for Surrey Arts Cultural Education Partnership. This year Surrey Arts launched ‘Culture Box Surrey’, a site to share the work of the steering group and to signpost to local arts organisations. I always thoroughly enjoy meeting with our group ‘The Culture Collaborative’ to share ideas. I wanted to be a part of a group specifically for art leaders and so I looked for a local networking group. Unfortunately there were no local primary art leader networks and so I launched ‘The Primary Art Network’ in 2019.
I’m a member of the National Society for Education in Art and Design (NSEAD), which promotes art, craft and design education. I wholly recommend joining this organisation particularly for it’s resources and art education updates. https://www.nsead.org/join-us/
During COVID-19 I decided to build this site as a place to share our network discussions for those who are not local enough to attend.
In terms of consultancy, I am able to support schools with their art curriculum, art subject leadership advice, stand alone projects such as art exhibitions and more.
More information on the primary art consultancy services that I can offer can be found here.
If you have any questions about ‘The Primary Art Network’, consultancy projects or anything else please contact me.
